LETTER TO SANTA

DEAR SANTA,

It is almost time for you to be checking your list so I wanted to send you the kindred heart writers’ requests for this year. I should report that we have been especially good all year. This has not always been easy, but we encourage one another along the way and trust God to guide us.

KINDRED HEART WRITERS’ WISH LIST

KAREN – a second computer would be nice;(her husband needs the computer for his work) a positive word from her agent about her military devotion book would encourage her; a strong desire to start a new proposal based on her blog ideas would be good; and Santa, a good dose of self-confidence for a woman who has so much talent is just what she needs.

JOHNNIE- an Agent, please; a contract for SPARROW her latest novel; an agent would be nice; time and ideas for the novel she worked on when she was doing NaNo; a win in the Novel Journey contest; and Santa, an agent who believes in Johnnie’s novel would be so encouraging for her . And don't forget about the agent.

JEAN-TIME to do all the things she wants to accomplish; organizational skills for her CLOUD book that she prepared during NaNo; good sales and positive response from her Caregivers Devotionals; skills to use her new MAC (and by the way, Santa, thanks for that early present); continued growth for her Healthy Spirituality blog would be uplifting for her; her own column in the newspaper would just be an added blessing.

LAURA-Over the top sales for her book AND THEN I HAD BOYS published by Kregel; time to continue writing her novel about the earthquake in China that she has started; creative marketing ideas for her book; positive response to her new blog; time to write and still be a good teacher; and the sale of a few articles would be a nice added touch. Just make sure you don’t forget the positive response and high sales for her book. That is really what she wants!

CLELLA-Who knows what Clella wants? She changes her mind all the time. I think she wants determination and ability to write this book she started; some speaking engagements would really please her; incentive to submit some of the articles she has already written; success and creative ideas for her new blog THREAD OF LOVE.

Santa, we know we already have so much and that our gift of writing is truly all we need, but still we can dream can’t we?

Thank you for reading our list. We will leave you cookies and milk.

Love from The Kindred Heart Writers

And now dear readers, what would you put on your list to Santa? or perhaps you have other items to add to our lists. Let us know.

By the way the scribe for our list is Clella

I need people who will committ to praying me through this 365 devotion book for Tyndale. I don't think Santa can provide that.

It sounds like you've all had a good year.

My word verification word is "izatropy." Is that a disease?

Kathy, I will commit to pray for you. When is your deadline? And whatever that word is, it doesn't sound good to me. :-) Thanks for continuing to encourage the kindred hearts. Clella

Dear Santa,

I would like to complete my novel and make decent headway into the next before attempting to find an agent. I too am in desperate need of some confidence and help with self-doubt.

In addition, if it's not too much trouble, I could really use a nap!

Jan- June devotions are due April 1 and July - Dec are due July 1. I'd like to be ahead on both. I fear I'll run out of new things to share about half way.

I might do better providing the nap than self-confidence. Love Santa
